Playground slides
Freestanding, embankment and tube slides for parks, schools and early learning, compared side by side as each manufacturer publishes them.
194 slides products from 10 suppliers on Park Plan, as of October 2026, published to AS 4685, EN 1176.
Which type of playground slide should you choose?
It depends on the site and the age group. Embankment slides follow a natural or built slope and avoid a tall access ladder, which suits sloping sites and younger children. Freestanding slides come with their own steps or ladder. Tube and spiral slides add height and enclosure for older children. Stainless steel is durable and vandal-resistant but can get very hot in direct sun, so consider shade and which way the slide faces.
Compare each product's published fall height, impact area and age range before you plan the space, and have the final layout checked by a qualified playground designer or inspector.
