Description
C Major Pentatonic (C3-C4) The Emperor Chimes create an immersive outdoor musical experience through six towering tubular bells tuned to the C Major Pentatonic scale (C3-C4). Standing over 2.5 meters tall, they invite visitors to interact directly with sound, producing rich, velvety tones that resonate long after they are played. Played using only the hands, the Emperor Chimes are unique in the way they allow players to both hear and feel sound. Striking the tubes sets powerful vibrations traveling through the instrument, creating physical sensations that can be experienced through the hands and body. For many players, particularly those who engage with the world through sensory and tactile experiences, these vibrations can be every bit as meaningful as the sound itself. Their harmonious pentatonic tuning, sculptural form, and immersive resonance make the Emperor Chimes a captivating addition to gardens, parks, sensory spaces, and public landscapes.
