Playground swings

Commercial swings for public parks, schools and early learning — from single bays to nest and accessible seats — compared side by side as each manufacturer publishes them.

387 swings products from 10 suppliers on Park Plan, as of October 2026, published to AS 4685, EN 1176.

Which playground swing is right for your site?

It depends on who will use it and how much room you have. For toddlers, a frame with cradle or toddler seats keeps the fall height low. For mixed ages, a two-bay frame with one flat and one cradle seat is the usual council choice. A nest (basket) swing lets several children swing together and suits inclusive play.

The impact area a swing needs depends on the height of the swing from the ground and the length of its chains or cables, not just the type of seat, and it can change with the type of safety surface you intend to use. Check each product's published fall height and impact area, and always ask the manufacturer to check this or provide a design to suit your area specifically.
